You're cordially invited to join artist Franck de las Mercedes and exhibit curator Alexis Mendoza, for a talk moderated by Luis Stephenberg Arles, director of The New York Latin American Art Triennial. This free event is open to the public and will offer the audience in depth insight about the work shown, the artist's process and influences, as well as the curator's interpretation, development and realization of this exhibit at Boricua College. Franck de las Mercedes creates blooming bouquets against a stark black background focusing on the colors used and the abundance of a spectacular void to draw attention to the possibility of possibility in an urban life. The booth will look at these intriguing uses of textile and color and explore the different cultures and locations of the artists arguing both the richness of the textile arts and the use of color, as artists continually seek to create that unique artist
