There's a practice common in ancient Greek and Latin literature, still used by some creatives as a tradition. An invocation to the muse is some type of personal ritual not directly linked to your practice where an artist appeals to a muse for inspiration and guidance in their process. I often start by reading a poem out loud or playing guitar for a bit. You'll find this ritual most rewarding on days you don't know where to start, feel blocked or find yourself facing resistance.
