Honoring Shamans of Our Times

This is the first in a new series, and different direction in which the clay-like earthy treatment I've been using for subjects, now goes beyond just the skin. This new approach was inspired by the volcanic rock carved statues of Zapatera island in Lake Nicaragua and those by the Chontales people. They depicted humans and animals believed to represent deities and high-status individuals.
